Business Unit Controller - Convenience - circa £65,000 + Attractive Package & Benefits - South East / M4 Corridor

When it comes to developing category leading food brands and being recognised for leading innovation then they don't come much bigger than this food manufacturer. With their continued investment into product development and people it's no wonder they are held in such high regard by their competitors and customers.

Clearly, this food manufacturer is not small. In fact, they are the major player in a growing food category worth in excess of £1.4 bn in the UK, and that's not all!! Our client forms a central part of a large and ambitious food group boasting some of the most powerful brands in the industry. With ambitious growth plans, they are now looking to strengthen an already first-class commercial team.

You will continually review & develop their Convenience sector strategy as well as line managing the whole function. The nature of the channel means that its strategic importance to our client is huge hence their intent to invest further into it. Should the successful applicant succeed in growing this already multi-million pound channel, the door for fast progression within one of the UK's largest food group will definitely be open.

You will:

• Set & deliver winning in convenience strategy.
• Direct a team focussed on delivering of an innovative and exciting range of leading brands and own brand products into Convenience.
• To manage sales investment expenditure to budget, and to shape and challenge promotional plans

To succeed in the role you will have:

• Exceptional branded commercial awareness coupled with a proven track record gained within a progressive
• fmcg environment
• Be able to demonstrate success in convenience / grocery sales along with excellent influencing & line management experience
• Demonstrated impressive business achievements through consumer insight, bringing energy and motivation to the commercial team.
• Strong relationship-building skills, and are ready to make an impact on strategy and category plans from day one.
