Category Manager / Buyer - £45,000-50,000 plus package - East Midlands

My Client is one of the high streets most well loved brands and on their behalf I am recruiting for a Category Manager to join their retail team.

This person will lead the development and implementation of a complete step changing initiative within this retailer strategy. You will be responsible for channel product strategy, through the sourcing, buying, ranging, forecasting and tactical promotion of all products, to include existing ranges, NPD and internally and externally sourced opportunities.

I am looking for someone who has....

Experience within a fast paced retail environment at Buyer/Category Manager level ideally within a 150+ retail store

Experience of successful range development; including planning and sourcing of product ranges from multiple suppliers, to form a consumer centric range.

Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

Ability to analyse complex issues and data, to drive out clear and actionable business cases.

Skills: Category Management, Buying, Ranging, Food experience, analytical skills, presentation skills, Negotiation and influencing skills.
