Customer Marketing Finance Analyst - London / Uxbridge - £27k
Our client is one of the largest tea companies in the world with brands in over forty countries, headquarters in London UK and bases in Montvale NJ, Toronto, Melbourne, Mumbai and Kolkata. They are now looking for a Customer Marketing Finance Analyst to support customer marketing with managing the up keep of category management tools, websites and analysis.
The Customer Marketing Finance Analyst will support the convenience sales team with retailer range reviews, sales reporting and analysis, deliver market leading insights to drive competitive advantage and support finance analysts with period end commercial analysis. You will undertake category analysis with recommendations to sales and customer marketing, manage the up keep of Customer Marketing websites - tea experts & intranet and maintain regular product trackers and sales reporting including presenting on the market at sales meetings. As Customer Marketing Finance Analyst you will also manage the category management needs for the convenience channel. The Finance part of the role will involve analysis of promotional & advertising costs, validation of promotional charge rates, review and reconciliation of balance sheet and ensuring the integrity of discounts and A&P accounts and preparing and posting period end journals into SAP.
Our client is looking for a graduate or someone of graduate calibre with a category management, market analyst or customer marketing background. You should not be afraid to take a calculated risk and should have a natural curiosity for the new and different. You should be able to communicate at all levels internally and externally, should have a good understanding of analytical techniques, and have the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively. You will have a good understanding of the UK grocery market and experience of using AC Nielsen, Dunnhumby, Panel data & using retailer sales portals. You will deliver insight from multiple data sources, and will have had exposure to category management & space planning. You should also have strong financial awareness including an understanding of P&L and Balance sheets.
