Technical Manager - £40,000 - £45,000+ package - East Yorkshire/Humberside

As a well established and highly reputable manufacturer of convenience foods for the major retailers, our client continues to be one of the largest players in their sector. They have achieved this through first to market NPD, a strong commitment to people development and the continued achievement of technical excellence. As a result of this they are now seeking to appoint a senior Technical Manager to one of their key sites, based in the East Yorkshire/Humberside.

Reporting into the General Manager, you will primarily be tasked with being the sites' interface with customers and suppliers, ensuring that all their needs are adhered to. The role has a wide ranging technical remit, so you will need to have the drive and tenacity to follow through technical problems and demanding audits to the highest level. You will also be tasked with taking a large technical team and developing them into a cohesive operating unit. The business also has a profound commitment to environmental sustainability and as such you will need to have a thorough understanding of the latest legislation and key issues.

HACCP, food, EFSIS, BRC, Food Safety & GMP, retailers, Technical Manager

Of graduate calibre, you will have experience working at a similar level within a food manufacturing environment and have a proven track record of delivery for the major retailers. You must possess first rate man-management and communication skills, HACCP system and procedure implementation experience and successfully have achieved third party accreditations.
