As a Trading Manager you need to be accessible to the South East of England five days a week, where you will be responsible for managing and developing a range of products ensuring they fit our customer needs. You will be a part of an inspiring team where you will develop new channels, products and suppliers through an efficient and cost effective process. You'll be operating in a growing category where you will be given all the autonomy you need to deliver.
It is essential that you are a strong negotiator who is not scared to pick up the phone and make the contacts and build the relationships; in this role you will be involved in many different aspects of the commercial team, working with a small team that is highly motivated to succeed. You will be the supplier's first point of contact, negotiating both existing and new products.
There will be some international travel involved in the role where you will travel the world such as; Thailand, Ecuador, Maldives, Philippines, Indonesia, Morocco, Vietnam, Brazil, Spain and Italy amongst many others.
This role will demand a great deal of self motivation and structured thought-processes within a flexible but decisive framework.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
Degree educated or of degree calibre
Strong FMCG Background
At least 2 years trading experience as a trading manager or sales person; ideally with in produce, fish, seafood or meat.
This role will entail international travel; therefore a language will be advantageous.
Evidence of strong creative thinking, being turned into deliverable outputs.
Strong negotiating skills

Inquisitive and tenacious.
