Our client

  • Instantly recognizable food producer with some of the UK’s most loved brands under their belt, as well as a strong own label business producing the Grocery market’s more tasty indulgences.
  • They are steeped in history but after huge investment and a new, privately owned, international sister company, renowned for building profitable food companies, offering a reinvigorated boost to the business, they are on the next step of their journey and looking to expand.
  • Due to recent internal progression, they are now seeking a Category Manager to join their growing team & continue on their journey!

 

Role:

  • You will be given full ownership to make things happen and be expected to deliver powerful strategies, invigorating merchandising plans and honest advice, helping to take category performance to the next level.
  • Direct ownership of Managed Impulse accounts with primary focus on the strategically important accounts of i) One Stop ii) Boots iii) Mults Forecourts (BP/Shell/MFG) iv) Travel – WHSmith.
  • Support the setting and delivery of the Perfect Store targets (super SKUS, ALPS, space targets where applicable)
  • You will be the voice of Managed Impulse in the business; ensuring customer trends and opportunities are being shared and shaping the development of business opportunities
  • Own the category specific elements of the customer range reviews; ensure the Business has a compelling input at the key stages of the process to set the business up for Sales Fundamentals growth (shelf/ range/ distribution).
  • Revise and update the Perfect Store, Best Sellers etc to drive their visibility and credibility ongoing

 

Do you possess the following?

  • Energy, drive, and passion to make a positive impact within a business whilst being creative and wanting to make things happen!
  • Strong analytical skills with previous experience using Nielsen, Kantar, Lumina, Nielsen, Kantar, IRi, ACI (BP
  • Proven track record of building strong partnerships with strategic customers across a number of levels & functions whilst influencing to drive change in store- keeping the customer at the heart of our business!
  • Ability to define the ‘Perfect store launch’ and appropriately tailor the Total Category Vision to the relevant Strategic Customer strategy to set the direction for the year and areas of focus for engagement
  • 18 months + experience within a Category, Sales, Analyst role or directly working for Nielsen/Kantar data agencies.
