Business Development Manager – International Markets – Drinks

 

Our client:

  • Market leading exporter of premium, alcohol beverages with vast international reach across over 60 different countries
  • Distribute a diverse range of well-renowned brands across both off-trade and on-trade markets
  • Unique business model working in conjunction with market leading breweries & brands to offer further international distribution
  • Offer a number of different routes to market across retail, wholesale & HORECA

The role:

  • Create & implement an international sales strategy to build on overall company growth and objectives
  • Work closely with a number of key routes to market to drive sales
  • Must be able to build very strong relationships with all key suppliers in order to become a preferred supplier across different countries
  • Hunt for new business across international regions that the business is not currently trading with
  • Work well as part of a small close-knit working team and be able to collaborate internally
  • Manage all sales, margin, profitability and work in an organised manner
  • Be sales driven and work well under pressure. Demonstrate tenacity, willingness to succeed

 

Ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience in the drinks industry is required around both on & off premise markets
  • International experience is not required, need to have account management and new business development experience in the trade
  • This person could be at National Account Executive, Business Development Manager or National Account Manager level in the drinks industry managing UK accounts for example and looking for something a bit different
  • Great move for someone looking to move into an internationally focussed role & business
  • Need to be good at developing and driving new business into new markets
  • Able to hit the ground running and adapt quickly
  • A passion & interest in craft ales, cider and spirits
  • Must be open to and enjoy occasional international travel as the role develops in the future (Covid guidelines followed)
  • Need to be sociable, a great communicator and ability to build strong relationships at all levels
