Senior Category Manager – Grocery – 6 Month FTC

Field based – expect c20% travel to H/O & Customers

c£55k plus bonus, £6,000 Car allowance & strong benefits package

 

Our client:

  • Our client is a fast-growing and exciting drinks business looking for a Senior Category Manager to join their dynamic Commercial team on a fixed-term contract
  • This business operates across multiple categories and customer channels with a portfolio of leading brands
  • Internationally recognised with £multi-billion turnover and multiple employer awards

 

The role:

  • This is a Senior Category Manager position focused on working with key strategic customers within the Grocery channel
  • 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract position to start immediately
  • Responsible for operating as an independent advisor to retail partners across key product categories, working to identify and recommend opportunities for category growth
  • Internally, will act as the Category expert with very close cross-functional working with wider commercial teams including Sales and Marketing
  • As Senior Category Manager you will ensure alignment to the category vision, and support the wider-business in key projects including NPD launches

 

Ideal Senior Category Manager candidate profile:

  • Experience at Senior Category Manager or Category Manager level within FMCG
  • Current or recent experience working with UK Grocery Retail customers
  • Can demonstrate ability to manage multiple categories simultaneously
  • Highly analytical, with good understanding of turning insights to action and working with data providers
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to build relationships quickly and challenge the status quo where necessary
  • Commercially savvy with experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Resilient, can demonstrate agility and personal accountability
